Brettony's Special Visit
Ross Peddicord, Executive Director of the Maryland Horse Industry Board, with funding from USLGE, recently organized a visit to several area equine breeding facilities with an esteemed delegation from the Swedish equine world. Dr. Karl-Henrik Heimdahl, President of the Swedish Warmblood Association specifically requested a visit to Beall Spring Farm to see their beautiful young filly Beall Spring Brettony (Bretton Woods x Ma Cherie (Rubignon). Additionally, Christina Olsson and Lars Berglund requested to see Brettony during their recent SWANA Inspection tour in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
Other members of the delegation included Staffan Lidbeck, Chef D'Equipe Swedish Olympic team, former Olympic rider. Kent Ohlander, GM, Jagersro Racetrack in Malmo, home of the Swedish Derby. Lena Malmqvist, President of the Swedish Equestrian Federation in Skane (southern Sweden) district. Mats & Caterina Genberg, publishers of Gallop Magazine, an international horse racing magazine.
Sahara Awarded Elite Mare Status Sahara has received her Elite Mare Status, making her one of the few mares in the USA to join this exclusive group. Beall Spring Savanna Amongst her many accomplishments Beall Spring Savanna received the 2013 High Score American Breed in the Performance Division and at Dressage at Devon 2013 - First Place USDF All Breeds SWANA 4th Level Open Division.
